    The brass bridge and control plate do not look stock, but they could be nice upgrades. The gold paint job looks like a spray-can refinish to me, but I could certainly be wrong. The Fender-stamped tuners and the neck look legit.

    If I had to guess, it is at least half legit Fender, and possibly up to 90%.

    Bridge and paint are correct. They called this a "collectors edition", as I recall.

    Bone stock and 100% real. Always wanted one. Most clock in at 12 pounds. Every one I've played or checked on were boat anchors. That said, I still want one!

    I think it's the Strat knobs and chunky bridge that looked odd, but I'll take your word for it. Is it similar in spec to a Precision Elite? They were early '80's right?

    $2,950 is way high, even for the UK.
