    Since I just read an 18 page thread on a clip with Joni,
    I wanted to post what I think was Jaco's finest performance
    for a single song and my favorite. (not counting of course his
    incredible solos and P.o. Tracy)

    I cannot find another recording of scarlett woman played anywhere near like this. The sounds that
    come out of that bass blow me away. Those chords!
    Alphonso Johnson was playing at that concert as well with
    Billy Cobham,George Duke and John Scofield so maybe he is really trying to impress them.

    the boots from this show are some of my favorite jaco moments. there was a mix/balance of his chops and virtuosity along with some humbleness in his playing.
