Hey there! A guy's selling me a Fender Jazz Bass, Made In Japan. He says the serial number indicates it's '91, he doesn't know about the body's material.

Someone asked him if it's a Silver Series and he said exactly this:
    "That's right bro, 60's re-edition"

This is a pic of it: http://i.imgur.com/zCpJKiv.jpg
He's asking ~$570 usd for it (the pickups are DiMarzio, according to him).

    What i don't know:
-In case he's right about it being Silver Series, aren't all Silver Series actually Squiers?
-And in case that's right, $570 is too much for it, right?

I tried looking for reference on prices at eBay but i've not seen many 90s MIJ JB's except for one in auction.

Thanks for any kind of info on this :)

I've never heard the term *siver series* referring to Fender or Squier- IIRC Ibanez did a *silver series*

That is a Made in Japan Squier Silver Series. That Fender decal was a replacement.

That Silver Series costs around $70- $100 here in Japan.

YES. you are right. The Silver Series Squier were made in Japan between 1992-1994.
