It seems Jimmy Haslip will be coming to Roscoe Guitars in Greensboro, NC again this year. I went last year and it was an awesome hang! It was really cool, Jimmy is down to earth and doesn't mind sharing tips and techniques.

Hopefully more information will be available soon so be prepared to mark your calendars!

    ...slow down, slow down.

I may have mentioned a "discussion" taking place, but NO plans are made at all. Yet.

More in a couple of weeks (I'll be spending a bit of time with Jimmy at the Aguilar Artist's Loft in about a week, and we will see what things look like for him then).....

    :)

Oops, Sorry, I got excited. Does this mean I changed my underwear for no reason?

  6. I saw him last week in Rotterdam with the Jeff Lorber Band. Great bassist!

He's done/doing a lot of work (playing, producing, writing) with Lorber. I saw him with Lorber in Minneapolis last year. Great stuff.

Thanks, Gard. Let us know. If the timing is right, I could do a road trip... Canada's not that far...

Just looking at this pic, I realize that Haslip has the easiest way to mute the low strings, just via his fretting hand.
