    Impressive. Wanking.

Give me the Day of the Baphomets intro for a solid MFing groove all day. Ignore the grammar errors on the viddy; this one has the best sound without commercial obligations at the start.

It always amazed me that he played all those insane Racer X songs fingerstyle.

I really hope that Racer X can get back together for at least one more album.

That racerX video sums up just about everything that was sucky about the 80's and that's coming from a fella who met his wife at a Quiet Riot concert at the Starwood in 78.

80s shredder music did not age well. I was never into this wanking stuff then and I find it unlistenable and unwatchable (and comical) now.

    I certainly don't hate it.

    But...

There are no dynamics, it's unmusical. Is there a key center (maybe that's not important)?

As was pointed out, it hasn't aged well.

You can Hear how low his action is. Low action and a jazz neck makes that kind of playing much easier. Doesnt make it sound any better though.

What's that saying about opinions? Excuse me while I drop trow and show you mine:

Having not lived through it I can't comment on the aging process, but personally I think the music presented here is just as powerful as anything happening today, and much more powerful than the vast majority of music produced before or since.
