I just finished off this build last night. I had not tried LaBella 760 Flats before this bass and they sound (and feel) great.

lol!:D I knew that would happen. It's actually surf (looks a little bit more green in person than it showed up in the photo for some reason). I need to work on my camera skills! lol. But vintage Surf and Sonic are pretty similar even in real life, just a slight shade different. The newer Surf (i.e. Jeff Beck sig) is a little more distinct. Both are cool!

Here's one more. This one is a little more color accurate to real life. Always so hard to get camera color to be transparent. I guess Canon feels they need to add some color vs having a transparent tone... blame it on the tools... lol;)

That's crazy the difference in color between the 1st and 2nd pic! I constantly struggle with not seeing the "real color" when I'm snapping bass pics!

You're 100% right. Beautiful bass by the way Johnk_10! Awesome that you've got an original.

I arrived at my hue of surf by having one of the automotive paint shops mix a batch from the OEM DuPont color code (they mix in acrylic lacquer) then I took samples of their colors and created my own formulas for mixing my tints which are geared for use with nitrocellulose.

Just uploaded one more from my camera. This one's a full sized image. I'm not sure if it's possible to display full size/resolution here but I'll give it a shot.
