    SOLD!

This is a players bass, but it plays and sounds fantastic. Besides numerous dings, there are three things worth mentioning. In between the neck pickup and the neck there is a wear spot where a thumbrest would be. On the tuner of the b string, there seems to be a hairline crack that goes a very short distance but does not go far or all the way through and apparently is stable. And on the back there is a spot of finish wear near the neck joint. Functionally, this bass plays like butter. I know the back is walnut but I think the front might be ebony. Anyways, got two smiths and keeping the other for now. Comes with original strap and original gig bag (I've never seen a smith gig bat either until now) 2800 shipped in the US. If you want it out of the country, you pay shipping.

Looks like the Bass/Treble pot was moved to the Middle where the blend knob should be.
Bump for a Nice Smith! Top is Ebony indeed.

Original owner did this. I can't surmise as to why, but after playing it a bit, if you don't mess with the eq after setting, it kind of makes sense in the sense that the two knobs you might want to mess with live are at the ends. Thanks for the comment and bump!!

I've got two guys close to pulling triggers but neither has actually done so. I'm thinking it's close, but just in case I'd take 2700 paypalled shipped today.
