I've got a Kolstein Vincenzo Panormo Grand Model bass, built in 1997, with C extension, that I just don't play much anymore. It's a great dark-sounding bass that needs a new home and someone who will treat it the way that it deserves. Sounds great no matter what the application; I've played orchestral, jazz and rock and roll on it and it fits in everywhere!

Carved spruce top, willow back and sides. This is a bass that usually has maple back and sides, and willow is usually reserved for their higher-end basses; I got lucky when I ordered! 41 3/4" scale length (inbetween a 3/4 and 7/8 size). It hasn't been played much in the past two or three years, so it might need a good once-over in a shop. That said, it's a great value for the money for someone looking for a professional-level bass at a lower cost.

All initial maker paperwork available. Originally valued at $12,000. Seeking $10,000 O.B.O.

The bass lives in the Chicago area. I've attached a flyer with pictures as well. Hoping to get this thing sold in the next six months or so. Motivated buyers welcome and encouraged!

I'm hoping that its really got a spruce top - maple wouldn't sound very good! ;)

Holy cow, Jake, you're right! It is indeed a spruce top. My confusion came in that the sides and back are normally maple on the regular Vincenzo Panormo Grand Model, but they're willow on this bass (usually found in their much higher-end basses; I think I got lucky when I ordered it!)

I've edited my original post. Thanks for the sharp eye!

    Josh

Nope, this one was made by Kolstein and Sons at the shop in New York City.

the flyer state 43inch scale length and your posting states 41 3/4 might want to clarify.

    It's 41 3/4 scale length...depends on where you're measuring from I guess, but 41 3/4 is Kolstein's official measurement.

My understanding is that these are imported in the white from Romania and finished out in the Kolstein shop. You might want to verify this for the ad.

It is possible that some of these are made that way, although Barrie Kolstein told me while it was being made that they were making it in the shop...

So I don't know for sure, and I have unfortunately not been able to find any information confirming or denying that fact. It's still a heckuva bass!

Pretty bass. Beat the willow sounds nice.

The willow gives it a great dark sound usually found on the higher end basses they make...I've loved it from minute one!

Bump again. Still for sale! This bass needs a good home...one owner, and needs a little repair work, but a great deal for the price...willing to negotiate.
