Need money to pay for my little girl's surgery. Nothing major, but needs to be done soon. Last in, first out rule.

This is another great specimen of the Lakland US craft. An active jazz 5-string bass in trans black/gray with a flame maple top and a bound and blocked neck. Fast action, great tone. The pickups are Hanson split-coil hum-canceling and the pre-amp is the LH-3, same found in the 55-94. The street price of this bass is over $4,000.

I believe it was made in 2012. It has been played by the previous owner and it's got some battle scars, that I tried to show in the pictures. But it's in great shape overall, no dings through the wood, neck feels smooth. The top is super cool, while it is flame maple, it kind of turns into a quilt in some places. Nice and light at 8.80 lbs in my wife's digital kitchen scale. Comes with the Lakland hard shell case.

I am looking for $2,750 shipped CONUS, Paypal preferred. Sorry, need the money, can't take trades at this point. On to the pictures:

Sooooo tempting, but I've come to the realization I'm just not a 5 string player - otherwise this would be gone. Great guy to do business with as well. GLWTS!

I have the skyline version of this is red, I recently put it up for sale but took it down and sold two other basses instead to keep it. 100 percent punch, tone, and quality.

    First off...beauty bass!
I will admit im not on the "up and up" when it comes to the Lakland models and differences.
I have the opportunity to try this bass locally to see how it sounds. If i like it, hopefully your bass might still be here after i try it.
Is there a model difference here between yours and the one i can try in a day or two?
    tnx for your time

Anyone?....aside from pup or pre-amp options from factory are these the same model?
I'm going to try the bass i posted and if i like it..... will try to buy Macribas' (if he will ship to me)
Did they make this exact looking bass in both US and overseas?

    Thanks ahead of time.

Your photo looks like a Skyline logo on the headstock...was it a Skyline? If so...not the same. The US models also get US made tuners, and quarter sawn necks, bone nut, and some other things.

Hi Toolmybass, I am sorry, I have been out all day, today was my baby's surgery, everything went well!
Looks like we are comparing the US vs the Skyline series. Aside from the differences already mentioned, US basses have much better woods and are mostly built by hand.
There are countless threads on US vs Skyline Laklands, the general consensus is that the Skylines are great basses but can't touch the Chicago-made Laklands. The finish, playability and tone of the US series is unbelieveable.
On this particular model, a few detail differences:
    - the flame maple top is just a thin layer on the Skyline version whereas in the US is a real top.
    - the mother-of-pearl inlays are of higher grade in the US bass, they look stunning
    - the headstock is slightly thicker in the US series, not sure if that does anything to the tone or balance
It would be great if you could have both side by side to compare, it's much easier to see the differences this way.
I hope that helps with your questions. Thanks for the interest!
