Lane Poor

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by ZENBASSGUY, Mar 19, 2014.

  1. Hey guys, i have a set of Lane Poor pickups in my semi-hollow singlecut six string, a Jazz in the neck and Humbucker in the bridge. They go into an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp which is now dead but i am replacing it this week. My question is would you swap out the lane poor for the new Aguilar or keep the LP's? i really like the sound but kind of want more beef out of the neck pickup, so i was thinking on going with two dual coils.

i use this bass mostly for jazz and acoustic settings with TI flats.

    What would you do.

I'm also open to other pickup brands as well just thought the Aguilars would match well with the preamp.

also have to keep the preamp only enough room in the control cavity for the obp3 and the control setup has to stay the same.

    thanks for you input
