LDS 1x15 faital, Greenboy basic 15 design

    This is the LDS version of a Greenboy Basic 15 design. One Faital 15PR400, no horn or tweeter.

    Has 1 faital 15PR400 with 2 Nuetrik connectors with 1/4's in the middle. I added new set Ernie Ball casters.

    Color set up to match the older AMPEG colors.

    Bought one month ago to only carry one cabinet - but back to my 2 12's.

    Cabinet is 24" x 24" x 16" and weighs about the same as a 25 pound plate - no scale sorry.

    $400 plus actual shipping charges if shipped. If shipped CONUS ONLY.


    I will drive 50-60 miles to meet from Atlanta area.

    Sorry, what do you mean by "weighs the same as a 25lb plate"?
    I'm guessing you're not referring to dinner ware!

    It's hard to imagine it weighing as little as 25lbs -- a GrBoy Bassic made of the lightest specialty plywoods (= expen$ive) is still a bit over 30lbs.
    Whereas LDS cabs tend to be considerably heavier...

    I've got LDS 12T cabs weighing 28 pounds. A 15 without tweeter and crossover could be 25 lbs. Don Oatman builds high quality-first class enclosures at a fraction of the price of the "name brands"

    I love my 12s and wouldn't mind a 15 like this

    Fair enough, that's about what my GK 12" combo w/ ceramic driver weighs.

    It's physically possible, if built with one of those very exclusive Euro lightweight plywood's & minimal hardware; but I doubt this was. Ultra light-ness isn't necessarily Don's specialty (quality, solidity and value _are_), and cost of materials would push the price up quite a bit.
    And I'd be surprised if he would cut corners with cab volume/displacement for the sake of weight.

    I've sure heard the same thing -- such fierce customer loyalty is usually the reward of excellent product and service!

    As I first said - I do not have a scale.

    But the basic 15 my friend has weigh 32 pounds from a Greenboy builder.

    And this weighs right at the same.

    I will try and get it weighed tomorrow.

    Took it and got it weighed - 32.3 pounds - ok I was offffffffff.

    Local pickup is better. Shipping is kinda high - I use the UPS Store. Shipping to the West Coast is pretty high.
