For sale is my custom Lecompte CBX-SC Fretted 5 String. Bud Lecompte is no longer making basses, so the opportunity to obtain one of these is getting harder and harder. Lecompte's basses are second to none in craftsmanship and playability. The bass is in perfect condition, and I am the original owner. I am clearing out some room in my bass stable, so not interested in trades at this time.

Price is $2000, plus actual shipping costs. Protec Contego soft-side case included. PM me with any questions, and thanks for looking.

That's gorgeous! The only thing wrong with it is 35" and not 34".

    Thanks for the comments.
Yes, its a 35 inch scale. Its all I play in something with a low B. I prefer the tighter string and clearer fundamental you get from the longer scale. Not really that hard to get used to, especially with a fretted instrument.

Well I don't know if I would agree with that. I have a Sadowsy with a killing low B. It's true you will get a clearer sound with the longer scale, but some building techniques can overcome that, and for me it's a matter of comfort. That being said, I played a LeCompte at the Atlanta Bass Gallery and it was amazing. This looks like killing bass and will make someone very very happy. I wish I could buy it but not this time around. GLWTS
