Everybody on that track is killing, but AJ is especially kicking major butt!
I have that DVD, I love that Anthony's who's know for being picky about amplification is sitting next to a GKRB800.
Lovin' Anthony Jackson's playing on this cut. Nice!
AJ may be picky, but the man is a working musician, and I bet he picked up a nice check and royalties for the Lee Ritenhour gig. At least a whole lot more than anyone will pay him for bitchin about an amp!
My point was, Anthony Jackson sounds like himself no matter what the backline is. We are probably hearing the DI on that anyway.
talk about the A Team!
Holy frickin' wow. Thanks!
Bunch o' lightweights relying on their charts.
Oh, but I kid !
Yeah, that's great. Patrice!
I don't say it lightly, but Anthony Jackson on the B string is the most powerful sound I know of in music. His overall tone is just incredible. Needless to say, his playing is fantastic too.
AJ is a great player, but I always wonder why he normally looks pissed off and constipated.
I think he is just intense. I guess he and Jason Newsted could have a most pissed looking bassist contest!
That was awesome. And yes he is intense when he plays, and EXTREMELY nice and very humble as a person.
amen, Dr. Cheese.
glad you cats dig this clip!
I was with a group back in the 90's and we would always get a request to play Cpt.Fingers, but getting back to Mr. Jackson, The conviction that he has when he plays never ceases to amaze me, and much much props to Patrice Rushen and monsterous playing also.
I have this DVD and it's amazing!
Not meaning to hijack the thread but I'm just wondering after watching that incredible performance, is it possible that Anthony Jackson is currently the planets greatest electric bassist. I mean, he can shred, play subtle groove and always plays the right notes in the right place at the right time with amazing aplomb....Awesome.
