Les Claypool's New Bass!

    So apparently at the Primus New Years Eve shows Les unveiled his new signature bass, which he apparently designed himself. He also supposedly said that it would be produced for market, which sounds sweet.:bassist:

    That's pretty much all I know about it. Does anyone have any more details or pictures of the bass?

    That sounds so un-Claypool like. He must not be selling many records anymore.

    Who is these days? A bands got to tour to make any money anymore. I was surprised that it's not a Carl Thompson.

    Found this, has pictures of it. Looks like it has the whammy.

    That is a hideous looking bass...primarily the acid trip green paint job with shroom vomit pink pick guard....

    Haha, I find it funny that I've bought pedals from at least 2 of the people that have posted so far. Maybe even 3, I'm not positive about the third.

    Looks like an un-contoured CT bass...kinda cool...if it's inexpensive.

    When I saw the title of the thread, my first thought was, "OMG! It's a P-Bass with flats!"

    no way, houser is an old school kind of guy. reverend rumblefish, lakland hollowbody... though he did rock a roscoe in the 90's.

    i would have been into a claypool custom a decade ago.

    Looks like it's missing a few coats of finish there. Prototype perhaps?

    Just putting on my judgy-pants for a second...

    In the second picture, you get a good shot of the upper horn. To me, it looks unfinished, the way it's all slabbed off like that. Looks cheap IMO

    could be unfinished though. I'm definitely interested in this topic
