The accompanying document said this is the neck from Geddy's black Wal. Which was a 21-fret Wal MkI.
That neck is for a 24-fret Wal MkII.
Yes Geddy had a red MkII with a black neck, but didn't have it until a year later.
Roll the Bones, good album
So... who would actually pay that much for a neck?
forgetting the dubious Rush provenance. this may still sell.
price a new Wal, then email Paul at the shop and ask him what hed charge to build you a new neck like this. Then you shall know, my good man, who would pay this much for a neck.
One born every minute
People pay crazy money for Fender necks.
Either way, if I were going to pay a premium for something like this, I'd need more backup than a letter from a roadie.
Well, lets add this up....
A new 24-fret neck ordered alone will be about 1100 pounds, so about $1800+.
The upcharge for the black poly finish is another 240 pounds, so about another $390 bucks.
That adds up to costing around $2200 bucks if you needed a replacement MkII neck.
I stand corrected. That is INSANE!
Evil nemesis ?
Greddy Lee played in the band Ush.
Well, somebody bought it.
I wanted to...sat and watched the time tick down. But I just bought a spare fretless MkI neck a week ago, and didn't want two unused necks sitting in my closet.
Hi guys, I paid for it.
Good price for a spare wal neck. I have 2 wals and a new one due to august.
Regarding the Rush thing, who knows? The seller and the original owner provided additional documents proving its origin. Besides, Paul is helping me with the real story on this item. But I'm not really worried about it.
whether its Geddy's or not you got a relatively good deal on a Wal neck!
good to know it went to a fellow TB'er i have to admit though, i did think about bidding for it too
No shipping to Canada is kinda insulting, though...
