Well, we've all seen it happen and discussed it here on TB...band poachers who show up at gigs just to recruit players. It happened to us recently and we lost our fiddle player yesterday. So we're looking. If anyone knows a good fiddler in Dallas who might be available let me know.
A good Mando player would also be an option.

Oddly enough, I hope you find one that is currently in a pro band. That way you'll know he/she is good. ;)

Dang ... good fiddlers are hard to come by! When we hear a good fiddler we often joke, "get the burlap bags and duct tape and open the trunk, we're takin' him/her with us". Around here the only way to get and keep a good fiddler is to make sure they're getting paid regularly. Same goes for mando, banjo, dobro, and pedal steel ... ie, anything that isn't a guitar (grin!).
