Looking for some more "intermediate" songs

Discussion in 'Recordings [BG]' started by KingRazor, Dec 24, 2013.

  1. Don't really know what else to call them.

I play mostly CCM, which is lots of 8th note roots, super basic stuff that I can play in my sleep.

But I'm no where near playing Rush, DT, or any of the really flashy stuff.

Just looking for some interesting bass lines that are somewhere inbetween. Something a little more interesting than 8th note roots, but still within my technical ability to play (or at least something that won't take years of practice to play).

I'm open to any style but I'm definitely more into rock than any other genre.

Stone temple pilots is your answer my friend.

    Happy holidays!
  3. You as well!

    I'll check them out.
  4. There's a whole lot of stuff to be learned by getting into JPJ's stuff with Zeppelin. It's a good bridge to some of the more complex and melodic stuff.

I had to google CCM. Contemporary Christian Music. May I suggest some Classic Christian Music? The Staple Singers, with the great David Hood on bass. Start here:
