I was watching a video on YouTube of Marco Mendoza and his Jazz Trio and about 10 minutes into it, I'm like, I know this song...and he's scatting over it too...I don't know what to think....

Marco's great, but it kind of amazes me to see him playing in Thin Lizzy Mk II when he can play like that. Oh well, guess Thin Lizzy pays pretty well ;)

He obviously has a love of hard rock/metal. From Lizzy/Black Star Riders to Whitesnake to Ted Nugent to John Sykes. Seen him live a few times recently with Lizzy. Seems to like what he's doing. Getting paid can't be bad either though.

I am sure he feels privileged to have had the opportunity of filling in for the late Phil Lynott on bass. Having seen them recently with 'Lizzy, he certainly looked like he was having the time of his life. Fantastic that he is so versatile.

The playing is very good. The vocals . . . well, let's just say they could use some polishing, IMO. Although the part where he is imitating a conga is kind of cool.

Saw him with John Sykes[what a great band] and playing for Thin Lizzy, who wouldn't want to play in such an iconic band like that ! And the pay must be ok because he's still there.

My god I feel dumb. When I saw the title of the thread, the first thing I thought was "Isn't he Twisted Sister's bassist?"
