Anyone know what gauge Marcus uses? His website doesn't specify...

To my knowledge, Marcus uses DR Fat Beams MMS which are gauged 105 80 65 45.

Any idea why the A string is lighter and the rest are mediums?

    I been everywhere, man...
    Disclosures:
I used 10" and 15" speakers in the same rig for over 10 years.
That's just a nod to the classic gauges of the Rotosound Swing Bass set, which MM used back in his NYC days.

Its not, the D-sting is heaver than all the rest. Make the D-string a .060 and you have a balance set.
