Mesa Boogie Vintage Powerhouse 2x15 in 4 ohms. 1200 watts RMS!

This is my dream cab and I have thoroughly enjoyed having this tone monster. The look, sound, and size has been perfect for my needs. I primarily play rock, neo-country, and pop. I have used a GK 800rb, Ashdown Little Bastard 30, and an Aguilar TH500 with this cab and both have sounded incredible.

I am only selling because my gigs have turned into all IEM gigs and I use my A Designs REDDI for everything.

This cab is 4 ohms (despite what the back panel says on the cab. Original owner is a Mesa endorser and he changed the cab from 8 to 4 ohms with OEM speakers from Mesa.). The cab has the Players Network and I have loved the increased control over the tweeter and crossover points.

Cab is in MINT condition and has always been well cared for. Only traveled with cover on. One of the rubber wheels has a little rubber missing, but that is it.

Ask any questions you like. I will not ship this cab. Pickup in Atlanta or I can drive and meet not too far from Atlanta. Just PM to ask.

    PRICE: $680
Trades: MXR Bass Overdrive plus cash. JHS Morning Glory plus cash.

Yeah buddy! If you love the sound of 15's (the sound of BASS, IMO) then this is the cab! I've owned the Berg NV series 215 and 610 and this thing sounds deeper than the 215. Cool cab here!

Wish you were closer, id love to hear my titan through this beast. One of the best live bass sounds i ever heard was a mesa 2x15. So loud it made you sweat, and it hurt so good!

    Bump for a fellow Atlantan...

I'd LOVE to have this to replace my "as new" silverface Powerhouse 4x10. :hyper:

Sending you a PM - I was under the impression that you were doing the IEM thing these days but, sure, I'd consider a trade + some cash on my end.

Bump for an awesome deal on a big Mesa cab. Shipping this beauty would be a painful experience. But it's a great deal for a local-yokal in Atl....

How would you compare the tone of this to an Ampeg 810?

I've owned a few Ampeg 810's and I'd say this cab is deeper and rounder while still being extremely punchy. The player's network helps if you like a snappier tone from the Mesa, if that is what you want. The Ampeg 810 will have "grindier" high mids and of course tons of punch. Volume wise this 2x15 pumps because of the efficient drivers and high wattage handling. I haven't played a gig it couldn't handle from about 100 people to 13,000 in an auditorium. Two things that also drew me to the Mesa 2x15 vs. an 810: 1) The vintage look of this cabinet with the black grill cloth and 2) the easy of transport and ability to lift it myself.
