Gorgeous and sounds/plays fantastic! Dead mint except for very light scratches on red tortoise pickguard. All original except for Nordstrand p/u (original included) and the Fender US chrome covers. Comes with Fender logo G&G case. This Fender Japan Precision reissue weighs 9 lbs 3oz and is strung with LaBella 760FS flats.

Hate to see this go, but I'm playing short scales only these days. $865 shipped to conUS or trade toward a Gibson short scale Thunderbird, a 70's Mustang bass or something along those lines.

Forgot to mention that under the bridge cover is a rubber mute. Thump-a-licious.

    That's gorgeous. Does the MIJ version have a 1 3/4" nut or 1 5/8"?

If I didn't just buy an identical instrument (year too), I would snap this up in a heartbeat!

This bass has a 1 5/8" nut. Yeah, it's a great bass...too bad I'm not a collector or it wouldn't be for sale!

I don't play P basses, but if I did, this is exactly what I'd want. This bass is absolutely GORGEOUS. And the MIJ... well, it's probably one of the finest crafted basses out there.

Sweet Bass! I have two short scale basses and would be willing to work out something with you on whichever one you would be interested in.

First... Epi Elite EB3. This is not the inexpensive one that you can find all over the place. This was listing for approx. $1500.00 when I bought it new in 2006. Bought a "2nd" due to a finish flaw (I could never find it) and saved quite a bit of money. Currently have D'Addario Chromes Flats on it. Have original hard case. Excellent condition. https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd....0x320/1044422_704347592939361_252564030_n.jpg

Second...late 70's (believe 1978) Fender Mustang in 3 tone Sunburst with RW fretboard. Not original owner of this, believe I'm third owner at least that's what the guy I bought it from back in the mid 90's told me. This is also strung with the Chrome Flats and also comes with the original Fender hard case. In very nice condition. https://scontent-a-iad.xx.fbcdn.net...x320/1609661_704347596272694_1335268717_n.jpg

If you're interested in either I can send you additional photos.

    Thoughts? Best Regards...Frank
