The TalkBass iphone/android app is NOT WORKING currently. We're working on it. Tapatalk IS working, so if you need to use an app, use Tapatalk. Try using your browser though - TalkBass is now 100% responsive to your phone/tablet screen size ;)

Please read the TalkBass 2014 FAQ for lots of great info on the new software.

I just installed my Flexcore with EMGs (pretty much the Wooten setup: http://www.bestbassgear.com/installing-victor-wooten-retrofit.htm) and it works fine in passive mode, but in Active/EQ mode it spits out a heavy distortion, and the sound cuts off after about a second. Doesn't seem to matter where I set the EQ knobs or even the gain trim pot.

If it helps, I have this configuration: 2stk.2stk V/Tone stack, Bl, B/T stack, Lo Mid/Hi Mid stack, A/Psw

It's probably the jumper needing to be installed which is used only if you have active pickups.
