So I wasn't sure if I should resurrect my old thread about the kitara, or start a new one, so I decided with the ladder. Old thread about the kitara can be found here:

So, I went on my youtube account this morning to find a pleasant surprise. The new Misa Digital Tri-Bass. The video:

I will be getting one. We sold the Kitara really well and I got to spend some time with our demo unit. This one looks better to me for less money. Was going to use external synths with it anyway.

    sounds and looks good.
    the price is not bad.

gonna (try to) save some money and go for it!

maybe with a moog minitaur, or with iphone/ipad synths...

Price will be $749 in the US. At least that's what they are saying now. Direct they add $180 for shipping from Australia and 5% in import taxes.

I think I am going to go for this one. I knew I wouldn't totally gel with the Kitara but this looks pretty awesome.

Wondering: where do you see that? The website still says 650+180 for shipping.

Free shipping on the front end audio website.

I just talked to them. They are getting them whenever they start shipping which the Misa website says 7-8 weeks.
The guy I talked to told me there is a US Distributor, so Misa ships to the Distrubutor, Distributor to them, then to the buyer.
The guy I talked to said to be patient because he wonders if the 7-8 weeks is going to be the real release date.

I got it from the distributor. I have several on order as well. One of them is MINE though. It'll ship free from most US dealers.

    nice review.

why did this thread get moved to misc?

wasn't it in Basses before? doesn't a MIDI bass still count as a bass?

    odd.

    hurm. weirdies.

seems like Efx or Basses would be more appropriate.

    whatevahs.

i'm still trying to figure out if this would be gimmicky or super awesome.
