Sold.....Muckelroy 32 inch scale 5 string bass. Handmade by Brady Muckelroy of Texas. Swamp ash body, ambrosia maple top. Curley maple fretboard with a maple and cherry neck. Delano pickups, passive. 17.5 mm string spacing at the bridge. Weighs only 6.4 lbs. set neck construction. Its got to be one of the lightest 5 strings out there. Plays like a dream. Nice low action. No floppy B string. Come with a gigbag. I do have a hard case that may fit but I can discuss that with anyone interested. For those of you who don't know who Brady is check him out at bradybass.com. He makes stunning basses. He also does work for Birdsong guitars. I love this bass. The only reason I'm selling is I just can't seem to get comfortable with playing the extra string and spare time for practice is at a minimum for me right now. I also need to work on my upright bass skills as well. I guess you can't be good at everything. I do have a Muckelroy 4 string on order to replace this one.

Looking to get $2000 shipped. Paid a lot more. Would prefer a straight sale. I'd only be interested in lightweight, shortscale basses in trade. Maybe a Birdsong bass? I'm attaching some sound clips and pics. I'll try and get more pics when I can. Let me know if you have any questions or if I left something out. I'd be happy to send more pics if you need them.

Your tone on that live gig video is awesome -- round and full but just enough throatiness to punch thru.

Can I ask what cab you were using?

    thanks,

    Peter from Montreal

I played this bass on Saturday. The low B is outstanding. Played it side-by-side with an Fbass BN5, and I gotta say I was digging the low B more on this one.

Somebody buy this bass!! Without having seen or played it, I can say it is excellent. Brady does incredible work, and this price is a steal for a bass of this quality. Brady also built the bass in my avatar, best bass I have ever owned hands down!!!

    Free bump, GLWTS!

Eddy. Looks like about 1 and 3/4 to me. C shape. Front to back its on the thinner side. He was trying to keep the weight of the bass down as much as he could so I'm sure it's thinner than he usually makes them. Feels thinner front to back than my other basses. Very very easy to play. Still have that old P bass I sold you?

Free bump. These are absurdly good basses and this price is obscene. As soon as you play a Muck there is no going back. The neck is fantastic (nice big radius) and the tone is ridiculous as you hear in the video above. The fret job is perfect and allows for a straight neck and very low action. His B strings are the real deal. I own one currently and have another under construction. You can buy this with absolute confidence.
