My band just made a video!

    Hey guys. Long time lurker here.



    This was recorded at Evolve festival in Antigonish this past summer. Hope you like it!

    Nice, looks like a cool vibe. Was this a festival for neohippies? It looks fun!

    Weird, OT, question: How did you blend you PU's in this recording? Sounds like two PU's full on.

    Definitely a hippiefest. It was a great time!

    I don't remember specifics of this recording, but I usually either solo the neck pickup or crank'em both.

    It sounds like both cranked, indeed. I recommend not doing so. Two jazz PU's in parallel creates a midscoop, in a band setting you'll lose definition and you will probably be buried in the mix if it gets too dense. Your sound suffers from that sometimes in the video.

    But that aside, it's a great song, with a great groove. Got a bit of an Hungarian/Gypsy/Klezmer thing going on, IMHO. It's going to my favorites. ;)
