So i have a shecter stilleto extreme 5, great bass, got it for 300 dollars, but im wondering, how can i tell im getting the correct strings for 35 inch scale? Came with generic dead nickel strings and i have to change em:spit:

What strings would you recommend for brightness, while also compromising: some of it for longevity?

  6. Definitely try bassstringsonline.com Measure the distance from the ball end of the string to the tuner closest to the nut. Also measure distance from ball end to nut. Let Jason know these measurements and he will be able to tell you what strings will work for you and which ones will best fit your needs...
