This is my second time laminating a bass and so far it looks pretty good I guess. This time I took it a bit further and also laminated the pickups. I am still trying to decide weather I should make wooden knobs or leave the original ones, so I am open for suggestions.
Here are the before and after pics:

That looks great. I would do that to my Mustang if I had any technical/artistic ability.

Well obviously not many people care about this project so I'll just post a pic of the final product and I won't bother you guys anymore. Thanks.

Looks cool. Nice job. Sometimes threads on talkbass don't get noticed.

I like it! Is there a "step by step" thread?

Yes, there is a step by step thread on the initial post of this thread which shows how my first project similar to this one went.

Cool. I have a Lightwave SR-5 bass I bought kinda on a whim ‘cause I was thinking I should get a lighter bass, but I just can’t bond with it because it’s solid red. Well, the body’s kinda small, too, but the red…

The face of the body is flat, and I thought about how the body could be planed and a nice piece of veneer added.

I read both threads. Really cool. And here I'm trying to work up the courage to do my own setups...

    Interesting stuff!

    Cheers!
