    hello community,

is there any news about the origin of the mysterious strings that fender japan puts on their instruments ? i recently purchased a gorgeous PJ 2013LTD and like the stock strings very much.

they seem to be a set of 45/65/80/100.

i searched here a bit and found out that consensus here is that they are not the fender 7250´s stated on the fender website.

they sound very bright, but i guess they are nickel plated steel cause all my steel strings (rotos, sandberg, daddarios, warwick black label) look much more greyish on the surface.

i like their sound, which i think compliments that particular bass nicely, and especially the feel...

    cheers,
    lowstar
