Yup, a nice way to end the year is with a new amp from Aguilar. I scored two DB 112 NT cabs from a fellow TB'er (thanks floridabwoy!) and then grabbed a Tone Hammer 500 from Amazon (along with two Speakon (sp) cables) and now, I think, I'm all set. I've only had the chance to play in the basement so far but I'll be jamming in a rehearsal room soon! Look forward to seeing how it sounds in a live setting with my 60s Classic Jazz and my Geddy. Should be fun!

A nice way to end the year, indeed! I have basically the same setup (one of my DB112s has a tweeter). It's the best sounding setup I've ever played through. I used to not mind playing gigs where I used someone else's amp, or the house amp. But now I just get annoyed because I know it's not going to sound anywhere near as good.

Congrats on the purchase and looking forward to hearing your review. I considered buying these from Floridaboy and pairing them with the same head. Keep us posted!

As a former owner of an Aguilar rig...it's tough to beat, and I'd say pretty close to what I have now (Epifani). It will serve you well for as long as you take care of it, and you'll sound and look good playing it ;) It was a good Christmas this year for you - congrats!
