is it too early to get excited about the next namm bass bash? I missed the show last year, but already booking my flight/hotel for this January's one :hyper:

Any lineup yet or is it too early? and please tell me Brian Bromberg will be there too :)

Also, does anyone know if there are any dvds out there of last years or any other namm bass bashes? I've seen lots of pro looking clips online, ones like this make me think there might be whole shows out there on dvd or for download?

ok, I think it's definitely time to get excited about NAMM bass bash, only about 8 weeks away? Any info yet? I haven't googled it yet, figured TBrs have the most info!

Also, I missed last year but heard there was a secondary one not at JT Schmidts but somewhere else?

I'll be there. I will be playing at some stage Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Anyone else from Talkbass going to NAMM? Can't wait to escape Massachusetts for Cali!

I will be there, helping a friend out who works with a non-profit, only working Thurs or Friday, will spend at least 2 days as a spectator.

Great video! Where is Bass Bash going down this year?

I'm assuming bass bash is on at JT Schmidts again? I've gone to one or two there in the past.

I missed last year's NAMM but heard there was another bass event somewhere like El Torrito or something?

hopefully someone can confirm, either way I'm looking forward to it!

I'll be there for work and should have free time Friday and/or Saturday night. Still hoping to get some tickets to the Schecter party on Saturday. When someone figures out where/when the bass bash is post it, we'll have a mini-van and we aren't afraid to use it.

There was an event last year at El Torito that I put together called Altbass

    Players in it were

    Steve Lawson
    Chris Tarry
    Steuart Liebig
    Darren Michaels
    Gustav Fjeldstrom
    Adam from Canada
    and me Tom Shad

I dont have plans to do one this year or to be at NAMM but if someone wants to give me a ticket and a NAMM pass id be happy to do something.

Do you guys bring a bass to the show? Or is that too much to schlep? There's gonna basses there I want to check out, but I wouldn't have mine for any jams if I leave it...

    Ahhh, a newbie... welcome... :)

Google Maps is your friend. :) It's too far to walk, but not an expensive cab ride, or, find someone with a car. :)

No "jams" except potentially for the featured players on the list. Leave your instrument(s) at home/the hotel. There might be one or two vendors with products on display in the entry area for the bash, but not guaranteed. Usually some merch tho... t-shirts, cd's, etc.
