Well, I think I found a real keeper! My girlfriend sent me a dozen surf green Jazz bass cookies in the mail, made by someone on Etsy it seems, which are copies of my Jazz.

Well, they're lefties but it's the thought the counts! :p

You'll have to play them upside down.

I'm thinking of a few upgrades to get a crunchier sound; these pickups are too creamy.

Color is stock (early Corona) but the tortoiseshell guard is an early '80's NOS one that I swapped on...

Is that a copper strip from the bridge to the pickup?

    That is just awesome!

Glad she didn't ask the baker to "relic" the basses (i.e. drop it on the floor, take random nibbles, lick the icing off some areas, etc.)

That's wicked cool. Your GF obviously put a lot of thought into her gift, and the baker did an amazing job.

The flatwound strings are a nice touch, too.

I think some people call these 'pepperoni' tort guards... that would have made for a gross cookie.

I was actually hoping for six of the Jazz and six of my Precision! :p
