It's a light schedule this week, but some big games are lined up.

USC is talking to UW's Sarkisian about the open HC job.

They're welcome to him! There's nothing I'd like better than the dawgz having to rebuild a program again.

Hahaha, I knew at least one person here would find that to be good news. What a blow to the Huskies if he heads south, eh?

Bedlam (Oklahoma State vs Oklahoma) is once again for the Big 12 championship. That one is always fun to watch regardless of the stakes. But it's in Stillwater, and you know how that worked out for the Baylor Bears.

Big week in the Big XII minus 2. Three of the four teams playing have a chance of making it to the Fiesta bowl.

    OK State: Beats OU
Baylor: Beats Texas, OU beats OK State
OU: Beats OK State, Texas beats Baylor. This would set up a 4-way tie between OU, OK State, Baylor, and Texas and the highest BCS rank would go to the Fiesta Bowl. Texas won't be able to make it because of their OOC loses.

As for the conference championship games, the only one that doesn't appear to be one sided is Mizzou-Auburn but I still think the Tigers win that one ;) FSU will manhandle Duke and Ohio State shouldn't have a problem with Michigan State. My bowl matchup predictions are....

    BCS Natty: FSU-Ohio State
    Rose: Michigan State-Stanford
    Orange: Duke-NIU
    Sugar: Auburn-UCF
    Fiesta: Baylor-Fresno State

Sarkisian has accepted the USC job. I felt like this would eventually happen when UW hired him.

Muschamp fired his OC and offensive line coach.

If I were the huskies, I'd talk with Ed Ogeron from USC...he says he's leaving USC to pursue head coaching opportunities. He had that team plopped in his lap when they fired Kiffin, and he improved their performance all season, which had to say a lot about his abilities. Besides, wouldn't that make a neat swap? And ya think there would be just a LITTLE intensity when the two teams played???

I haven't listened to local sports talk, but I suspect all the Husky Honks want someone from the "Husky family" now after what Sark just did to them.

However, Orgeron would seem to be a smart hire. As you said, he did good things with the mess Kiffin left him. I believe he went 8-2.

Yeah, the evidence was shaky at best. I don't think Duke stood much of a chance with or without him, but he's gonna be paramount against whoever they play at the Natty.

The University of Washington is looking to bring back Doug Nussmeier, this time as head coach. Maybe that is the story that somehow sparked the Saban to Texas rumors. :D

For those who don't know, Doug Nussmeier was the OC under Sarkisian at UW, then went to Alabama the last couple years to run Saban's offense.
