Anyone follow college bball? As a Wisconsinite it's all I have left now until spring. Luckily my Badgers are off to their best start in.... ever!

16-0, #4 (although they should move up to 3 this week), #1 RPI. Looks like Bo might have the scorers to make it happen this year. So who you got? Or do most people just tune in for the Madness?

Oh, I'm in, been meaning to start this thread myself. Gators hoops is REALLY all I have this season.:D

Billy D's rounding them into shape now that everyone's back and healthy (well, except for new guy Chris Walker, who may be a beast but will need time to develop once the NCAA lets him play). The Gators have only lost twice: They gave the Badgers a good game despite missing two of their best players at the time (starting PG Wilbekin and forward Finney-Smith), and they lost on a buzzer-beater to UConn--and both games were on the road. They've since beaten Kansas and Memphis.

The SEC seems down this year, the Gators may only be tested by Kentucky. They've been to the round of eight three years in a row and they're experienced, so expectations are justifiably high.

I follow the Florida Gators. I haven't been paying much attention lately though.

OU is, well, OU again this season. So once again I'm going Rock Chalk for Bball when OU inevitably gets knocked out.

Oklahoma State looked great until Michael Cobbins, their leading shot-blocker, went out for the season with an Achilles injury. But Marcus Smart is still playing great, so as long as Kamari Murphy can step up and play the post, they should go far. They kind of stubbed their toe against K-State, though. I'm still not a Travis Ford fan.

Bucky up to #3 after OSU dropped a couple games. UW has won games this year while scoring in the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 100's. Fewest turnovers and fewest fouls in the nation.
    Indiana tomorrow, cupcake.

Kansas-Iowa State should be a good one tonight.

NOOOOO!!! Well what was that? I would have rather dropped a game to anyone but Crean.

Two solid wins for the Gators over the past few days without leading scorer Casey Prather: At Arkansas (a tough out, as Kentucky found out last night :D) and a thrashing of UGA at home. Gators are ranked 7th now, which seems about right.

I'm loving the overall parity (again) this year in college basketball. Can't wait for March! :hyper:

Yeah it is probably my second favorite sport at this point just because so many teams have a chance due to the size of the teams inherent in the sport and the tournament, possibly the best thing in sports. I haven't watched the pro game since Ray Allen was a Buck.

'Cuse is in the house! I already feel like the team is overachieving, and they have actually played some sloppy ball. Nice mix of returns, and Tyler Ennis is doing more than you can hope for from a true freshman. The Duke game is gonna be NUTS.

C.J. Fair is getting it done. Averaging 17ppg, 6 rebounds, and is over 75% from the line.

For anyone in the market, I can't BELIEVE how bad the ACC announcing teams are! A note to the pinheads with the mics and clip-boards:

We're the number 2 team in the freakin' country.

There are 7 guys that play.

'Cuse is kicking ACC butt! Last undefeated in the conference. The old Big East (or whats left of it) had more ranked teams than the ACC, lol. Big East teams move to ACC and clean house, old skeleton of Big East STILL outranking ACC. I think we have officially put the "what conference was best" argument to bed for good, no?

No, he has been friendly with the bench since he tweaked the knee last month. We'll miss the size underneath, but we can win without him. Jimmy has had to adjust the offense. The shooters are doing their jobs drawing the D out of the paint, so it hasn't been a major issue yet. The way Ennis cuts to the rim, we won't miss the rebounds as much, either, lol.

My daughter may be attending Villanova this fall, so......... I am on the bandwagon.
That said, they lost to Creighton last night due to a dude shooting 1,000 3 pointers. Yikes!

Also, I am a Umass alum and they are still in the top 20!

Umass, 'Nova for me.......(novice here but now that the Pats are knocked out of the playoffs I need another sport to watch besides the NHL, golf). I like Syracuse as well.

19 and OOOOOOOOH baby! Syracuse is cranking right along, with contributions up and down the bench. Lovin' it!

The Gators have moved up to #3. Might be a little high, but it's hard to tell: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/rankings

11 wins in a row is quite nice, though. Hopefully they continue to take care of business for the next 5 games before playing at Kentucky on Feb. 15.

This team hasn't had as many blowout wins as last year's, but having four senior starters is really paying dividends: They're 6-2 in single-digit games this year, as opposed to 0-6 last year.

The NCAA STILL won't let Chris Walker (an incredibly athletic 6'10" true freshman) play, supposedly due to a visit to another school before UF signed him. (He's academically eligible.) Make a decision already! Gators could use the depth.

Gators do look better, and I was curious why Walker still wasn't playing. The NCAA plays these kids like puppets, it's getting ridiculous.
