My Yamaha BB1025X was supposed to arrive from Deer Park NY today. However, because the seller screwed up my house number, FedEx Ground has to "correct" it, and now it won't be here 'til Monday. Wonder if it has to remain in a cold truck.

I'm counting on it, the manifest (or tracking info) says it'll be here.

That's what I thought, and they skip Mondays, right?

And UPS Ground delivers on Mondays, but not Saturdays, yes?

out here, fedex home delivery is basically fedex ground (they're both considered ground).

Just gave it my best shot with someone at FedEx, but won't have it attempted until Monday. Ah well, just another opportunity for that blasted thing called patience.

actually, the only day that fedex doesn't do home deliveries out here is sundays. UPS doesn't do Saturdays unless you pay thru the nose for it. and UPS oftenhas 'adverse weather conditions' delays even if it's just a drizzle.

The hub is 70 miles away so that isn't really an option.

I'm not sure why, but your situation with the FedEx address SNAFU resulting in an extended wait for your (awesome!!) NBD reminds me of this old Monty Python skit:
