I just got this and the guy told me it was amber but it looks a little darker. Then I found a bass on here previously owned by (Zitch) and it was called Cherry sunburst. Does this look like that color in your opinion? Also I am trying different things with hardware. I thought the gold was too much with this color. What do you think of this combination? Or maybe all black bridge. Thanks for the help.

looks like amber to me, just a really dark amber. all black hardware would look good to me.

tough to tell. I've seen some dark amber spectors. check out the one on the Spector string package. but I do see what looks like some burst stuff going on around the edges.

Search spector cherry sunburst in TB and you will see his. It looks the same to me except this is quilted/

  6. I actually like the Gold hardware
Has it got a brass nut? If so, I'd be more inclined to stay gold

I have owned several of these and found that the color does vary. It looks like a dark amber to me.

It does have brass nut but that bridge was real blingy to me with the amber

I think the black bridge with gold saddles looks pretty sweet.

    Sweet bass either way.

    Good Luck!

Thanks, I am on the fence but I like that it is different.
  11. The black n gold mix is pretty nice. If it was mine, it would depend on the tuner color.

    Black tuners = black bridge
Gold tuners = black n gold mix

Just my .02; Not a fan of gold hardware. I had an Ibby SR535, white with gold hardware, and I felt like a pimp whenever I played it. :p
