I put some DP123's in my Fender Jazz a while back. Been mostly happy with the results except I can't run the knobs up past about 85% without a farty sound. I have plenty of headroom (RBii1001). Is it a pickup height issue? They are at about .120 on the G and .145 on the E.

Are you measuring with the string pressed down to the fret? If so, then those heights should not be a problem.

Are the pickups wired in series? That will raise the output level considerably. When mine are in series they are hot.

How is your input volume set, are you clipping? You might need to check that and adjust for the hotter pickups. Check your "Boost" level too. Or use the -14db pad see if that helps.

But that being said, I often do reduce the volume on the bass to get a more vintage tone out of the dimarzio's.
    Hope that helps you.
