    It's a good idea, but the nuts-and-bolts of it have been around for a long time.

    As I understand it, it's basically a portable player that can read high-resolution FLAC files - 96k, 192k, and even 384k (if anybody cares to make those). Mr. Young says that 96k is the minimum resolution for a musical experience to rival analog/vinyl.

    (For reference, CDs are pressed using 44.1k, while 48k is considered "DVD quality".)

    There have been hi-res players before, but the public didn't care. With Mr. Young and his group of supporters, this one has a chance to catch on... I hope it does.
