    First off, thanks to everyone for all of your suggestions. I was all set to buy an MIJ Fender Mustang RI when the opportunity to purchase this finally came through. I can't thank Ken enough. There isn't a more perfect bass for me.

    That kinda info would have been nice in the OP, wouldn't it!

    It's a Reverend Guitars Mike Watt SIGNATURE bass prototype. But that's a mouthful. I'm just going with THUD STAFF.

    30" scale, SG-like body style, Precision type pickup, Dano inspired redburst.

    No, it's a custom wound pickup. The same model ended up in the Reverend Meshell Ndegeocello bass.

    Yep, this is the latest revision.

    Mazareth - It's a little neck heavy, as you would expect from an SG bass. But nothing crazy.

    The only thing I don't like is the input jack. Why the huge plate? That's just me.
