Loving my new honey-blonde 50s Classic P - a lot like a Road worn, only, like, NEW!
    • New clip through the Ashdown Little Bastard; mixed mic and DI signals
    • all bass knobs full up
    • New set of DB Sunbeams
    • Amp volume at about 2 oclock
    • PICK
    • Studio One DAW, Abbey Road Drummer robot accompaniment

Tons of wonderful TONE in this bass dead stock: ANYBODY KNOW WHAT TYPE OF P PICKUP IS IN THIS '12 MODEL?

    Wow, that sounds great!

I'm pretty sure they use a standard Fender 56003/56004 set, American Series pre 2008 and indeed apparently standard in the Classic 50s, Road Worns, Highway Ones, and others. These are currently MIM, I don't know if they have always been. Fender part # 005-6004-049 in non-Road Worn; I don't know if the RWs have a different #.

Yep, those are the ones that were in my roadworn, yet these somehow sound better. Maybe I'm just more familiar with the amp by now.
Anyway, I double posted this in Basses section like a 'tard, but at least it doesn't suck.
