I saw this a little while ago, and Im thinking of using the same pattern for a PB4 with Ebony/Diamond Abalone/Inline Stock Black/Chrome Hardware.....should pop. What do y'all think about the Double Coil Bridge P/U?

Already 1000 posts on this bass, wow. And for good reason. I've had this bass a few months now and it has become my goto bass at this point eclipsing my fave SB5000.

Here's a pic of mine from Carvin's gallery:

    Here's another when it arrived:

    Here are some clips mine:

    Dang, they BOTH sound great.

I really don't need another P-bass but the Carvin keeps calling my name.
  12. Jarrett, what color is that PB of yours?

I terribly miss electric blue metallic....

Yea...that purple one set a hook in me. I just pulled the trigger on one like that, PB4, with chrome hardware and diamond abalone........Im really liking my PB5 Walnut.....

what strings are producing those sound clips?

those clips may be the last straw in a very persuasive argument

ok maybe I was leaning towards a Carvin anyway

I can't remember at this point. Either Carvin strings or DR HiBeam/FatBeams.

Translucent Pearl Blue. Electric Blue Metallic sounds nice. The Translucent Pearl Blue sparkles a bit under lights:

For those of you that own one with active electronics, if you prefer to run it in active mode, why? This would help me decide what to do with my build.

For me, I hear a little more girth and definition in the active mode. Also it allows me to dial in the bass from the instrument which I find to be extremely helpful in a live situation when moving from say fingerstyle to slap to reggae tunes in a set.
