Good news for the Ibanez lovers! There is a new 6 string bass guitar out, which is cheap : $400 dollars!

Here's a link to the Ibanez website for the specs and a nice photo as well!!

Hmm, I do very much like the look of the 255. However, the SR375 is also nice.

There are so many low end options from Ibanez. Never tried a soundgear, but dang do they make it difficult to resist.

I played the Gio GSR206 at my local Long & McQuade. I was rather impressed with it. The B wasn't even that bad. It was under $300, too. This thing looks like a step up, although I'd get the 256FM for the flamed top!

Leave it to Ibanez to make awesome basses wicked affordable! I prefer the SR50x and up for the Bart pickups, but the lower SRs are a force to be reckoned with as well. Definitely a great starting point for a lot of bassists

I was hoping for a sr606. The more blocky ibanez GSR bodies don't do it for me at all.

I own a GSR 206 which is one amazing bass. Tone is astounding. playability and feel just amazing. I have only two gripes with it. One is it is not 24 frets and the other is the tone/volume isn't totally even across the strings. (But can be fixed with a little EQ tweaking)

The first problem is already fixed with the SR256. And it looks VERY Much like my SR506 which also is 24 frets. As for the evenness problem, we'll just have to play one hands-on to judge. But if it sounds as good as it looks, it should be a winner!

And another plus is the SRT 256 is three band EQ where as mine are 2 band.

This bass clearly needs a closer look.

Wow! This looks like a lot of bass for the money. Is it only available in white?

The other day at the store i tried the SR256FM
    http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/eb...06&color=CL01&year=2012&cat_id=2&series_id=17

Being an owner of a SR506 and formely owner of a 406, i was really impressed by the build and the quality of this bass for its price. And it was really lightweight, with a proper setup and the strings of your choice this bass would kill any situation.

The white one looks really nice too :)
