I have a hondo deluxe p bass that has a twisted neck and was thinking about getting a replacement. The neck wasn't a very good player to begin with so I don't want to spend the time to try to fix it and I favor a Jazz profile anyway. I tried to put on a squier VM neck I had laying around and found that the holes on the body don't line up. The holes are closer together on the p body. If I got a new neck I would want to be able to use it on my jazz bass as well. If i was to plug and glue the holes on the body, could I redrill them to standard fender dimensions so it will accept a standard fender neck? It still has the same 2.5 inch heel measurement and the neck fits well. Thanks, any info is appreciated.
