New old formula fender flats day

    Got these in a trade for some online credit.
    Old formula used 9050ML
    Wow these strings sound huge!
    Such an authoritative punch with each note.
    Its a shame they dont make them like this anymore.
    I love the new fender flats as well but these are just monsters.
    Only thing i worry about was there wasnt much winding on the E string as previous owner cut alot more than i do off.
    But it seems stable.
    I had another set of flats on this bass, played the amp for a bit and exchanged strings.
    Then plugged back in and wow....

    And when they break in they sound even better! Too bad Fender ruined their strings giving them to d'addario!! I just put an old set of 7250s on a bass yesterday! and they sound great!
    I have those flats on another bass!

    Played last night with the band.
    After the first song all three of them were asking what did you do?
    The bass sounds huge.
    Same bass, same amp, just different strings. 😎
