It looks exactly like the other Affinities except for the finish. I'm pretty sure the specs are the same.

  2. The price is different, too :)

Do these affinities have standard size pickups or same size neck and bridge pickups? Thanks.

Body seems to be alder, as usual.

Strange that these natural finishes are not on the official Fender/Squire website though.

I sure would have grabbed one of those in a heartbeat. I never once even seen this anywhere - locally or on the net. Were these even promoted anywhere - c'mon Squier give a guy a chance, sheez! Lol

How could something that awesome fly under the radar so well?

I would think these two models would have done exceptionally well with a Natural Finish option like that.

Just seems bizarre to <almost> put out an awesome natural finish Jazz and Precision and pull them before they even hit the market. :atoz:

Note: I sent the MF link (still active) and an inquiry e-mail to Fender/Squier Consumer Relations dept asking for some detail about these. Would love to know the background story on these. I'll keep the thread posted if they reply.

I'd rock the pink one if it came in 5 string.

+1. Just need to throw a tort guard on there and it's good to go.

I like the gold or whatever color that last one posted was. I have been taking a break from playing before I start lessons. Dealing with my other hobbies, namely aquariums. I may start with that bass.

Checking back in with Fender's reply regarding the bass(es) in question, this is their reply:

"These were offered as a FSR from roughly 06-2012 to 03-2014 but are no longer available. They may be reintroduced at some point but as of right now there are no plans to do so".

Bummer. :( BTW - in case anyone was wondering, FSR = Fender Special Run.
