Just finished this one on Thurs or Friday of last week. This one's going to a good friend in the UK and will be cutting tracks next week for a Worchestershire blues band. I used a Mad RW board on this thing and it has a very growly tone. Mad RW (in my opinion) is like the best Brazilian tonally. It's a little lighter in color but the color of the sound more than makes up for it (I like the color of Brazilian RW). It was very exciting plugging this one in for the first time. I wish I could keep it. One of these days...

Nice bass man. But I thought it was illegal for you guys in the States to export Brazilian rosewood now?

This one doesn't have Brazilian (Mad RW). I was pointing out that it sounds a LOT like the old Brazilian. You can still buy Brazilian with paperwork however, I've found a lot of it doesn't sound all that great. I'm guessing maybe it's due to it coming from stumps etc. But good or not, that stuff's got to be the most expensive stumps ever sold!
