So who else idn't get a Christmas Bonus? Just curious...
ho... ho.... ho...
Worse, we got told that our division (despite making money) was going to lose some folks. I'm not really worried if I lose my job as I have other offers and would make more money anyway, but I am happy here.
Nope, no bonus for me.
and I own the place...
what is this bonus you speak of?
No luck here.
I worked for the largest commercial real estate firm in the area a few years ago doing accounting. I got to write out the bonus check for everyone in the office but myself. (I didn't get one)
I suppose a bonus is just something employers give when the job market isnt so tight, to keep employees happy and feeling good. I guess when the market is tight, and there is nowhere else for them to go, it doesnt matter if they're happy or not. Thats the way I see it.
Whats a bonus? I got one of those once, I thought payroll had messed up on my week's direct deposit.
The Mrs is getting a bonus (performance based) but not me.
Did it ever cross your mind that may be, just may be
The money isn't there?????
That is just not right!
the entire staff was very upset about it. I think every one of them ended up taking me to lunch at different times and expressed their displeasure to management. which really means more than a bonus. but yeah it was really $h!tty
I worked for a company for 11 years up until last March. I had to quit due to medical reasons. We would get a Christmas bonus every year and one for the Summer as well but since I quit, I've been just gigging and delivering pizzas. I am getting some pretty decent tips this time of year, though. I deliver in some wealthy developments.
my guitarist just delivered a pizza to Killswitch Engage at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster PA
I got my hours cut from 40 to 24 for Christmas...
One of my buddies in the same department got cut from 40 down to 10hrs a week. Another guy in the department got laid off.
The only reason that I didn't get cut to 10 hours is because I was willing to sit in the office and audit gigantic piles of payment stubs all day for 3 days a week. And I get to learn how to do the secretary stuff. Work is work is work is work. It'll certainly look good on my resume.
Business always slows down to almost a halt around Christmas season. Same at pretty much every machine shop.
I've been working my ass off for close to minimum wage, despite the fact i'm one of the strongest, and most reliable line guys at the restaurant. Been hoping for a raise. Didn't get one. However, I did get a shirt and hat... I appreciate the gesture, but god damn..
Man! The bonuses around here are pretty much all "bone".
Separate names with a comma.
