I'm looking into buying a Foxrox Octron 2 and I was wondering if the upper octave can track lower than the sub octave. I play in drop D and it would be nice to be able to play around the 2nd fret of the low D string with a distorted octave up.

the foxrox octave up does not track, it is simply a fuzz with a characteristic that makes it sound as an octaver. Whether that sounds good or not on a 5 string, I cannot be the judge of, but as I recall it's a green ringer in there.

The octron octave up works great across the fretboard assuming you like it's distorted chararter

Yep, that's exactly what I'm looking for.
