That bass of yours is a glamorous beast Vic! well, both of them are! Id love it if you would record your band on a couple of your favorite songs that you perform and let us hear it in a live scenario .
I would like to post a sound sample of my bass.Bought Cakewalk software, PreSonus recording interface and could not get it to work?(even after many hours on the phone with both companies tech service-hundreds of dollars of discouragement) Sold the Presonus and am going to get a different interface.Wondering if it is not just me or the computer Iam doing it on. Anyway as a Zon owner I like to hear them and rarely does it happen on the thread.A big thanks to all of you who have shared! I have heard some great Zons on here and some very interesting good talent accompany those samples.
I did notice the Sunbeams petered out before the Hi beams would have ,typical of Nickel vs stainless. Both are great strings from DR IMO
I'd love to treat the forum with samples, but I suck at them. simple truth. I have yet to come up with a way that does my instruments justice, and I won't short change this Zon. But, I will keep trying.
HAILS to the Zon crew in the new year!
In, with the sames stuff...
Just go straight off the board it will only count as 25% of your final grade wich will be determined by daily assignments ,photos ,comments, spelling and string choice
Just did a string change, and... Sunbeams just rule on my Sonus fretless. I've tried most other DR strings, but these are perfectly growly and warm for that bass.
Vic do those both have the single coils? or does either bass have the slim dual coils? Just curious and wondering about the different pickup screw layout.
Good question... I honestly don't know. They both are a bit noisy when soloing a pickup, but not super noisy, so I'm not sure if they're singles or splits with some 3/2 asymmetry hum.
All I know is, they both sound awesome.
Bad/good news... I was away for Christmas and New Year's and wasn't able to to receive my Legacy 519 so I asked Joe to hold off on shipping it. But it was good thing I waited, they discovered a problem with one of the Barts. So now they are waiting for a replacement pickup. I'm certainly glad they caught the issue before it shipped but....
That's all that matters!!!
Can't wait to see what Joe and the crew bring to NAMM
One time over a period of a couple weeks, I read the whole Talkbass Zon thread from post one.It was pretty interesting. One of the nicer looking instruments IMO was a black cherry burst four string if my memory serves me correct .It was a Lady from Florida. The only female that I ever recall on the thread that let it be known anyway.Search back and you may find it.
the one with the offset screws are splits (sorta pbass) not humcan CB, the other with the screw centered should be single coil. Both custom design for zon
+1, especially since my Legacy 4-banger should be there!
Yes, thanks Mo for the 411!
