Old old yamaha... Needing guidance

    A work college has shown me his really nice Yamaha SB75!

    However its in need of some new hardware, ideally a bridge and the muted bridge cover. But we cannot find anything anywhere for it
    Its taken us half an hour just to find out exactly what wood the body is made from!

    It's a long shot, but you might try contacting Subway Guitars in Berkeley CA. I think "Fat Dawg" is still running the place. He had this incredible stock of old, non-mainstream instruments, instrument hulks, and oddball spare parts. www.fatdawg.com, IIRC.

    Thanks Sid I will point him in that direction and let you know!

    Its a lovely Bass! I didnt even realize Yamaha made basses before the 80's
