I recently acquired a Oly White P Bass. Thinking about giving in to my desire to tinker with a new pickguard. Currently, it has a classic looking black. What do you have on your white Fender (or Fender inspired) bass? Pics encouraged.

I have stock black, but it's cracked. Will likely replace it with tort.

I should have added that mine is rosewood with a darker tint to it.

+1 for brown tort. With a rosewood fingerboard, it's just "right" imo.

In fact that's exactly what my next Fender will be.

White (the kind with the black inner layer) I think looks best.

However, white is also the only finish that tort has ever looked good on, so that's also an option.

    Black will also look cool.

Honestly, with white, it's hard to go wrong.

Anodized gold is another option, like the 57' AVRI.

red on my '78 fretless P on the right (which is Olympic white, even if a bit yellowed with age).

tort on the AVRI '62 reissue on the left.

    ^^^

A good demonstration of how one has lots of good options with a white bass.

Thanks - I'm just trying to help out... My other Jazz is black/maple - I swap 'em around when I get bored with one look or another...
